Final Fantasy XV A Realm Reborn has a PS4 announced beta

Square Enix has announced that the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will have a beta which will consist of two phases. The first will run from February 22nd to March 3rd (Japanese Standard Time) with the second running from April 4th to April 7th. The beta will be open, meaning that it will be accessible to anyone with a Playstation 4 and an internet connect as it will be available on the Playstation Store. Only characters created in the second phase of the beta will be able to be carried over into the retail version, as characters created during the initial phase will be deleted.

Playstation 3 will be able to transfer their characters to the Playstation 4 free of charge on Friday, April 11th. However, take note that once you transfer to the Playstation 4 version, it’ll leave your Playstation 3 version unplayable. However this is only necessary for the beta as Square Enix states that in the final retail version, all players will be present on a single server.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn hits the shelves for the Playstation 4 on April 14th.

So, if you play now and level up on the beta. and if the beta is closed over a week, you will lose your character and will have to start all over again when the full game is out? or do you keep evrything from now on til real game is out and you will still keep all of your stats?
